Overview
The Channels Page allows you to connect properties to online travel agencies (OTAs) and configure their operational settings. You can establish channel connections, map property listings, and define pricing, availability, and reservation synchronization for each OTA.
Channel Connection Setup
Select Property for Channel
To link channel settings and bookings to the correct property in ELEV8, select the property from the 'Select Property' dropdown within the 'General Settings' tab of the 'Create Channel' modal.
Enter Channel Hotel ID
To enable ELEV8 to communicate accurately with the OTA, enter the unique identifier for your property provided by the OTA into the 'Hotel ID' field in the 'General Settings' tab. This field may vary by OTA (e.g., 'House ID' for Airbnb, 'Hotel ID' for Booking.com).
Configure Booking Notifications
To receive immediate alerts for new bookings and manage reservations efficiently, toggle the 'Send Booking Notification Email' switch to ON in the 'General Settings' tab. Specify the email address for receiving these notifications.
Test Channel Connection
To confirm that ELEV8 can successfully communicate with the OTA and that your channel setup is correct, click the 'Test Connection & Next' button after completing the general settings.
Listing and Price Configuration
Map Internal to OTA Listings
To ensure availability, pricing, and booking information synchronize between ELEV8 and the OTA, navigate to the 'Mapping' tab after setting up general channel settings. Match each of your ELEV8 listings to its corresponding listing on the connected OTA.
Set Pricing Rules
To manage and display property prices on the OTA, implement specific pricing strategies. Access the 'Price Settings' for your mapped listing to configure the 'Guest Included' count, 'Price per extra Guest', 'Length of Stay Discount' rules, and add 'Standard fees and charges' like a cleaning fee.
Define Availability Settings
To control when your property is available for booking and prevent overbooking, navigate to the 'Availability' section within the listing settings. Specify the dates your property is open or closed for reservations.
Set Booking Parameters
To define how bookings are managed through the channel, go to the 'Booking Settings' tab in the listing settings. Configure parameters such as preferred check-in and check-out times.
Reservation Synchronization
Load Future Reservations
To import all upcoming bookings from the OTA into ELEV8 and ensure your calendar and reservation records are current, click the 'Load Future Reservation' button within the channel settings after connecting and mapping your listings. This action retrieves all future bookings from the OTA.
Load Future Bookings
After connecting, always click 'Load Future Reservation' and then 'Sync' immediately to ensure all upcoming bookings are retained.
Synchronize Channel Data
To maintain consistent availability, pricing, and reservation data between ELEV8 and the OTA, click the 'Synchronize' button after loading future reservations. This action updates both systems with the latest information.
Channel Pricing Logic
Set Channel Pricing Logic
To define how pricing adjustments are calculated for a specific channel, navigate to the 'Channel Settings' tab. Select 'Derive Rate Setting by Rate Logic' and choose to 'Increase by percent', 'Increase by amount', 'Decrease by percent', or 'Decrease by amount' to apply markups or discounts.
Apply Pricing Adjustments
To offer channel-specific pricing, the system automatically applies the pricing logic adjustments to your base rates when sending prices to the connected channel.
