Read and reply to a guest

Click a conversation to open it. The header shows the guest's name, the stay dates and the listing. An Action Needed badge means something is waiting for you. The guest's sentiment (for example Neutral) shows in the Reservation pane.

The conversation has three tabs:

  • Messages: the full history. Your team's messages, automated journey messages and Elev8 AI replies appear on the right, labelled with the sender. Internal notes appear in the thread too, marked Internal Note; guests never see them.

  • Notes: internal notes about this guest. The number shows how many there are.

  • Action Needed: open issues that need you, for example when Elev8 AI hands a conversation back to you. When there are none, you see No open issues found.

Send a reply

  1. Type in Type your reply…

  2. Pick the channel from the dropdown next to Image. It starts on the channel the guest booked through, for example Booking.com. You can also choose Email or WhatsApp. WhatsApp is only available once WhatsApp is connected (see Settings).

  3. To add a picture, click Image.

  4. Click Send.

Let Elev8 AI draft the reply

Click AI in the reply bar and choose:

  • Generate From Scratch: Elev8 AI writes a reply to the guest's last message. Only works when the guest sent the last message.

  • Generate From My Instruction: type a short instruction first (for example "offer late check-out until 12:00 for CHF 20"), then choose this. Elev8 AI turns it into a full reply.

The draft lands in the reply box. Check it, edit it, then click Send. Nothing goes out until you send it.

Translate automatically

Click the translate icon at the top of the conversation to open Translation. It shows the guest's language. With Auto-translate on:

  • the guest's messages are translated into your language, and

  • your replies are translated into the guest's language before they're sent.

Add an internal note

  1. Open the Notes tab.

  2. Type in Add a note…

  3. Tick Visible to ElevAI if the AI should use this note when it answers the guest, for example "Guest is allowed early check-in at 13:00". Leave it unticked for notes only your team should see.

Guests never see notes.
