Conditions let a journey treat guests differently. You use the same conditions in three places:
Requirements (top bar): must be true for the whole journey to run.
If / Else step: decides which branch runs.
Hard Requirement step: checked before the journey continues.
For each, choose how multiple conditions combine: All conditions must be true or Any one condition must be true. Then click Add Another Condition, pick a condition type, and click Save Condition.
Condition | Checks | How to set it |
|---|---|---|
Custom Criteria | Anything you describe, judged by Elev8 AI from the guest conversation | Plain words, e.g. "Guest has sent a photo of the signed rental agreement" |
Guest has not responded to last message | Whether the guest replied | No settings |
Reservation status is… | The reservation's status | Pick the status |
Booking channel is… | Where the booking came from | Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor, Agoda, Trip.com, HomeToGo, FlipKey, Hotels.com, Despegar, Google, Marriott Homes and Villas, Whimstay, Direct, Email |
Weekday is… | Day of the week | Pick days |
Time of day is… | Current time | Pick a time range |
Days until check-in is… | How far away check-in is | Number of days |
Reservation duration is… | Length of stay | Number of nights |
Guest / Pet / Child / Infant count is… | Party size | Minimum and Maximum (leave Maximum as ∞ for no upper limit) |
Sentiment is… | Guest sentiment | Positive, neutral or negative |
Gap night exists… | Whether there is an empty night next to the stay | Gap settings |
Tip: Custom Criteria is the most flexible condition, but it depends on what the guest has said. For facts Elev8 already knows, like channel or guest count, use the specific condition instead: it's faster and always exact.
