WhatsApp Business

Connect your WhatsApp Business number so guest messages, booking confirmations and check-in details go out on WhatsApp, and replies land in your Inbox. It takes about 10–15 minutes, once.

Before you start

  • A Facebook account (only to authorise the connection; no Facebook Page needed).

  • A phone number that can receive an SMS or call with a code.

  • A Meta Business Portfolio. You can create one during setup; it's free.

A number can't be in the WhatsApp app and in Elev8 at the same time.

Connect

  1. Existing number only: in the WhatsApp Business app, back up your chats (Settings → Chats → Chat backup), then delete the account from the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Skip this for a new number.

  2. In Elev8, go to Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp Business and click Connect with Meta.

  3. Log in with Facebook and allow Elev8 to continue.

  4. Select your Business Portfolio, or create one.

  5. Select your WhatsApp Business Account, or create one.

  6. Enter the phone number with country code (for example +41 79 000 00 00), choose SMS or phone call, and enter the 6-digit code.

  7. Finish. Elev8 shows WhatsApp connected with your number.

Don't stop after logging in. If you close the window before steps 5 and 6, Elev8 says "WhatsApp setup wasn't completed". Click Connect with Meta again and finish.

To reconnect or switch numbers later, come back to the same place and click Manage.

Payment Gateways: connect Stripe

Upsell orders, payment requests and direct website bookings are all paid through your own Stripe account. 100% of each payment goes to your Stripe balance, with no Elev8 fee on the charge. Stripe then pays out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. In Indonesia you can also use Doku or Xendit for local payment methods.

You need an active, verified Stripe account and admin access to Elev8. It takes about 10 minutes.

  1. Get your keys from Stripe. In your Stripe Dashboard, go to Developers → API keys. Copy the Publishable key (starts with pk_live_) and the Secret key (starts with sk_live_). Both must be live keys from the same account.

  2. Open payment settings in Elev8. Go to Settings → Integrations → Payments and find Payment Gateways.

  3. Add a payout account. Click Connect (or + Add Account) and choose Stripe.

  4. Enter your keys. Add an Account Label (for example "Main payout account"), paste both keys and click Continue.

  5. Assign listings. Tick the listings that should be paid into this account and click Save account.

The Payment Gateways card now shows your account as connected.

Each listing is paid into one Stripe account. Running several companies or owners? Add one payout account per Stripe account and assign each its listings.

Keep your Secret key safe. Never send it by email or chat. If it's ever exposed, roll it in Stripe (Developers → API keys → Roll key) and enter the new key in Elev8.

Minut (noise and sensor monitoring)

Minut devices watch for noise, smoke, motion and other events in your properties. Connect them to Elev8 to use those events as triggers in Journeys (see Smart Flow), for example a polite automatic message to guests when noise stays above your limit late at night.

Go to Settings → Integrations → Minut and click Connect.

Guest registration with the authorities (AVS and Feratel)

In many parts of Switzerland, Austria and Germany, every guest must be registered with the local authority (the Meldeschein), which also records the visitor tax (Kurtaxe). Elev8 connects to the two systems authorities use, AVS and Feratel, and registers your guests automatically. No government portal, no paper forms, no typing the same data twice.

Ask your local authority which system they use.

Step 1: get activated with your authority (once)

Your property must be switched on for electronic registration, with Elev8 linked as your software. Only the authority can do this.

  1. Email your local authority (Kurverwaltung, municipality, Meldebehörde or Tourismusverband). Ask them to activate electronic guest registration for your property and link Elev8-Suite as your software.

  2. For Feratel, give them Elev8's software code: VT3L3V8SB2.

  3. They'll send back your details:
    • AVS: your IDs for the AVS webservice.
    • Feratel: a Mapping Code (betriebnr), your Community Number (Gemeinde, ÖSTAT or BFS) and your number ranges.

Being set up in Elev8 isn't enough on its own. Until the authority has linked your property, nothing can be sent.

Step 2: connect in Elev8 (once)

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Government Integration.

  2. Click Connect on AVS Meldeschein or Feratel.

  3. Enter the details from your authority.

  4. Tick the listings that use this account, and Save.

Step 3: every stay registers itself

The authority returned a Registration Number (Meldescheinnummer), and the guest's Guest Card (PDF with QR code) appears in their Guest Guide. You can print it too.

Nothing to click per booking. The Sync button on a reservation is only a catch-up for guests who were verified before you connected AVS or Feratel.

Tip: guest verification must be switched on for the property (see Property), or guests never reach Verified.

Connect AI assistants (MCP) · Coming Soon

Ask Claude or Gemini about your business in plain words ("Who checks in tomorrow?", "Which cleanings are unassigned this week?") and get answers from your own Elev8 data.

The Elev8 MCP server is read-only and in Beta:

  • You can: look up reservations, check-ins and check-outs; property and room status; cleaning schedules and tasks; summaries of guest conversations; operational reports.

  • Not yet: making changes, and access for housekeeping or guest roles. Management roles only.
